Villa of Hope is looking for a Math Teacher to join our team!

Under the general direction of the Principal of the Campus School, the Math Teacher will provide instruction in mathematics to grade levels 6-12 in a special education setting. This individual is responsible for maintaining a productive learning environment within the classroom and school building, while also managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing expectations and procedures. The Math Teacher will create and instruct students in a variety of ways that promotes all levels and learning styles. The teacher must have the ability to implement and maintain progress IEP’s, report cards, transcripts, treatment team reports and other written records, as needed within the school: carries out all job responsibilities with fidelity and accountability to the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and Strategic Plan.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Math (mandatory), Master’s degree preferred. Certification in Special Education and Math, preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Relevant teaching experience (three years minimum)
SKILLS: Self-motivated, strong verbal and writing skills, attention to detail, problem solving, flexible and adaptable. Able to implement current technology within the classroom.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to complete and maintain TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) training in order to maintain a safe educational environment for students and staff.
