Villa of Hope is looking for a Social Worker (Campus School) to join our team!

Under the general direction of the Senior Social Worker and school administrator, the Social Worker: participates in the intake process for day students in close collaboration with members of the school intake team; a Social Worker fulfills the following direct care responsibilities: coordinates the individualized multi-disciplinary treatment for students on his/her caseload; provides and documents in a contemporaneous fashion the related services of individual counseling, small group counseling, and parent education & training as prescribed by each student’s IEP; fulfills the role of liaison between day treatment students, families and district CSEs regarding socio-emotional needs of assigned students & families; and assists and supports students & families with obtaining and maintaining linkages with ancillary services and providers in the community. The Social Worker will participate in program system for responding to crisis and/or mental health emergencies. This individual will carry out all job responsibilities with fidelity and accountability to the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and Strategic Plan.
EDUCATION:Master of Social Work with LMSW or LCSW or eligibility required.
EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of relevant experience with comparable service population.
SKILLS: Strong interpersonal skills with youth, families, staff, and stakeholders. Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to balance competing demands on time and resources. Ability to form, lead, and participate effectively on teams. Creative problem solving. Commitment to quality improvement. Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
OTHER: Valid NYS driver’s license and use of personal vehicle. Must have flexibility,patience, and resiliency to deal with sudden crisis and deviation from work plans and schedules.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to complete and maintain TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) training in order to maintain a safe educational environment for students and staff)
